My Favorite Marlene Dietrich YouTube Clips

In case you didn't notice, this blog is getting a makeover, a few squirts of Juvederm mixed with sheep embryo stem cells, and ultherapy sessions via Groupon. I've fixed many broken links, inaccessible videos, and non-displaying photographs. Regarding any blog entries with private videos, I've reverted them to drafts until the clips once again play for everyone. Despite the daunting efforts it entails, I've also begun weeding out useless labels and tagging entries with underused labels.

While inspecting the YouTube label, I came across some Marlene Dietrich videos that brought me fond memories, and I must bring them to your attention:

Don't you love them as much as I do? Share more clips like these in the comments section!

  2. Just played several versions of "Any day now" that Burt mentions and can't see it as a Marlene song at all, whadda ya think? Also trawled through the "Desert Island Discs" site and found Boy George chose a Marlene song, seems odd to me,but then J G Ballards fave song was "Falling in love again",both times Desmond Morris was on chose a Marlene song as well.Very interesting site, can't believe I have only just thought of it.Paul

    1. Paul, Burt said "Any Day Now" could have been for Marlene? I can't hear it at all--too soulful. As for Boy George, I'm surprised Marlene tops his picks because his others are drenched in soul--especially Shirley Brown's "Woman to Woman." If I had to pick just 1 Marlene song for my desert island disc, I'd go with "Allein, in einer grossen Stadt" from Marlene Dietrich in London.
