Do someone remember that great website runned by Werner Sudendorf? It was called soundslikemarlene.de, it had tons of informations about her songs, recordings and shows. I personnaly miss that kind of website - it was a such a serious work. It had to close because of rights problems.
Who wanted Werner's site closed? He has had a long association with Marlene Dietrich Collection Berlin (MDCB) and works as Chief Curator of Documentation at Deutsche Kinemathek Museum für Film und Fernsehen (in fact, he was at MOMA in March!). I even remember the Marlene Dietrich Collection Berlin (MDCB) newsletters frequently citing his site. I have the utmost respect for him and decided to pursue library science partly to emulate at least a fraction of his greatness. Nowadays, missladiva is the only person left who effectively spreads awareness of Dietrich with delightful rarities.
